Lal Salaam is an upcoming Tamil-language sports drama film written and directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. The film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner Lyca Productions. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles, while Rajinikanth makes an extended cameo appearance in the film. The film also features former cricketer Kapil Dev in a special role. Plot
The film revolves around the life of a group of cricketers who are inspired by the leftist ideology of lal salaam, which means “red salute” in Tamil. The film follows their struggles, achievements and challenges as they pursue their passion for cricket and social justice. The film also explores the relationship between Thirunavukarasu, played by Vishnu Vishal, and Moideen Bhai, played by Rajinikanth, who is a mentor and a father figure to him.
